It was Holy Saturday - two days after my visit to the mountain at night, when I revealed the dark place in my heart that asks "What if this short life is all that there is?" I was standing on the road looking up at the mountain, at the place where I had been two nights before, now visible in daylight. I suddenly began to think about the end times, the resurrection of us all, and the words in Revelation 21:4 - "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." The thought then suddenly came to me, "Someday the only things that will be dead are your doubts." I had profound thoughts, but not that profound! That had to be the Lord's response to my questions.
"Oh Sons and Daughters, Let us sing! The King of Heaven, The glorious King, Over death today rose triumphing! Alleluia!"
From the hymn "Oh Sons and Daughters".
